Chase Edge Frame
The Chase Edge frame is constructed from triple-butted, hydroformed 6061 aluminum tubing to provide a strong and lightweight platform for BMX racing.
The frame features an integrated head tube and enclosed rear dropouts with an integrated chain tensioning system. This helps provide clean rear-wheel alignment and makes setting up the drivetrain easier.
The Edge's race-oriented frame design is engineered to provide responsive handling and efficient power transfer while maintaining the durability required for BMX racing.
Fork Options
Full Chromoly Fork
Selected Edge models feature a Chase Edge full chromoly steel fork, providing a durable and dependable option for BMX racing.
IKON Carbon Fork
Selected colorways and larger performance specifications feature an IKON Carbon BMX racing fork with an alloy steerer tube.
The carbon fork option reduces weight while providing a stiff and responsive front end for competitive BMX racing.
Shimano Hydraulic Disc Brakes
One of the major upgrades to the latest Chase Edge is the use of Shimano hydraulic disc brakes.
Hydraulic brakes are fitted on Junior sizes and above, while Micro and Mini models use mechanical brakes.
The hydraulic braking system provides controlled and consistent braking performance, making the Edge well suited to competitive BMX race tracks.
Chase Edge 2-Piece Crankset
Expert XL and larger Edge models feature the new Chase Edge 2-piece aluminum crankset with a 24mm spindle.
The crankset specification is matched to the different Edge sizes, with optimized crank arm lengths and gearing across the range.
This provides riders with an appropriately sized drivetrain for their BMX race bike rather than using a single crank specification across the entire range.
Race-Ready Wheel and Drivetrain
The Chase Edge features a race-focused drivetrain and wheel specification, including:
- Chase Edge double-wall alloy rims
- Sealed-bearing hubs
- Steel cassette body
- Triple-pawl triple-angle engagement system
- 24T ratchet
- 16T rear cog
- KMC chain
- Insight alloy chainring
The cassette rear hub provides quick engagement for responsive acceleration when exiting BMX starting gates and corners.
Vee Rubber Speedster BMX Racing Tyres
The Edge is equipped with Vee Rubber Speedster wire-bead tyres, providing a race-oriented tyre specification designed for BMX track use.
